Meet Cherryl Marcey, Director of Sales & Marketing, The Matrix Club

We asked new Wheaton Chamber member Cherryl Marcey from The Matrix Club to share with us about this exciting new venue, soon to open on Rt. 59 in Naperville:

Q: What is The Matrix Club?

The Matrix Club will be a high-quality venue for social and corporate events, fundraisers, concerts, and other forms of entertainment which the community can enjoy regularly. The Matrix Club has made a commitment to affordable luxury at every turn and will focus on celebrating the ways in which artistic expression can transcend cultural boundaries. The Matrix Club has 75,000 square feet of space where guests will find everything from banquet halls, a performing arts center and world-class restaurant with a live music lounge to an art gallery, yoga and dance studios. There is also a state-of-the-art sound lab.

Q: What inspired the concept of The Matrix Club?

When designing and building the club our founder, Madan Kulkarni, worked with Raffi Arzoumanian, the acclaimed principal of a+c Architects, to create a welcoming space with an international vibe and every conceivable amenity. A lot of thought was put into ways in which guests can enjoy each unique space within The Matrix Club. We predict that the Matrix Club will challenge the way people think about designing, planning, and executing events. When someone entrusts us with their special day, whether it’s a wedding, birthday, corporate gathering, school proms or concerts, our goal is to transcend their expectations.

Backing this dream of high-class events will be our Michelin-starred Chef Yani Sanchez and internationally-renowned Chef Devinder Utpaul, who have created uniquely tailored dishes prepared in house in a state-of-the-art kitchen, capable of producing cuisine from around the world. While Chef Sanchez comes with successful stints at fine dining venues from around Europe and America, Chef Utpaul comes with varied stints at world-class resorts, airline catering and other individual catering initiatives.

Q: What makes The Matrix Club unique?

Through our custom-designed audio and video systems, recording capabilities and other on-site instructional tools, The Matrix venue is an ideal fit for school outings, group dance, music lessons and more. Every concert and show held at The Matrix venue will be enhanced by cutting-edge Bose, RCF and Danley audio systems, psychedelic lighting for an atmospheric setting, compelling oversized LED walls and screens and spacious dance floors. For good measure, concert attendees will also enjoy complimentary parking and online ticketing to make the experience that much more seamless. As a concert venue, Matrix can hold up to 2,200 people and for custom family-style banquets, we can hold up to 1,200 clients.
